 In 2022 the Washington State Legislature asked my office to produce a study on these
issues. We must urgently address the factors leading to the rise in violent extremism
and white supremacy. For the past six months my team worked diligently, consulting
with experts across the country who are renowned in their respective fields. My
team also consulted with community organizations rooted in Washington State and
included them in the work.
As Attorney General it is my job both to defend the foundations of our democracy,

 Evaluating any future data-tracking recommendations around domestic violent extremism, including how data is collected, what 5triggers data collection, and how to ensure data is not 6disproportionately used against black, indigenous, and people of color communities or other communities; and8

2022 Domestic Terrorism Study

 In 2021 Washington State adopted a law that allows for the decertification of police officers who affiliate with extremist organizations.

careful to uphold our civil liberties while simultaneously laying out a preventative
and public health approach to tackle these urgent challenges.

Roving gangs of Antifa rioters spent Friday evening rampaging through the streets of Seattle — with police often nowhere to be found, Antifa militants from the John Brown Gun Club set up the “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone” complete with barricades, guards armed with AR 15’s and signs saying “you are now leaving the USA.”  

To absolutely no one's surprise, CNN presents this antifa arson, vandalism, and violence as "protesters" seeking only to "fight for racial justice." This is completely surreal given the meltdown by CNN and its fellows among the Democrat activist media over the events When it has occurred, interpersonal violence during demonstrations has ranged from street fights involving groups to "Nazi-punching," which, as the term suggests, involves an individual assaulting a perceived enemy. A September 2017 incident in the Seattle, WA, area reportedly began with people using antifa-linked social networking apps.
